The Route:
The tour starts in the morning from the heart of Santa Croce sull’Arno. After a short briefing with the expert guide and checking out the performance road bikes (Tarmac SL8 S-Works), we set off pedaling gently along the roads through the surrounding rolling hills.
The route leads to Cerreto Guidi, a small village nestled in the countryside, where nature, vineyards and cypress trees create scenery typical of Renaissance Tuscany. Here it will be possible to admire picturesque views and make the first scenic stops for souvenir photos.
Continuing on, the route passes through the charming village of Ponte a Elsa, nestled on the banks of the river, an ideal place for a short break.
The ride resumes in the direction of Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, where history, art and poetry come together in a unique setting. Upon arrival, those who wish can participate in an optional guided tour of the main historical sites and museums dedicated to Leonardo’s genius.
Along the way, a light snack break is provided. The return to Santa Croce sull’Arno follows a safe and scenic route.
